Jungian, Depth Oriented & Psychodynamic Therapy

Jungian, depth-oriented, and psychodynamic therapies focus on exploring the deeper layers of emotional life that often exist beneath conscious awareness. Rather than only addressing surface-level symptoms, this work invites curiosity about the underlying patterns, experiences, relationships, and unconscious influences that shape how we think, feel, relate, and move through the world.

Many of the struggles people experience—such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, emotional overwhelm, or repeating life patterns—can be connected to earlier experiences, attachment wounds, internal conflicts, or protective adaptations developed over time. Depth-oriented therapy creates space to gently explore these experiences with compassion, insight, and self-awareness.

Rooted in the work of Carl Jung, Jungian psychology places particular importance on the unconscious, symbolism, dreams, creativity, and the process of becoming more fully oneself. This approach recognizes that healing is not only about reducing distress, but also about reconnecting with meaning, authenticity, inner wisdom, and the many parts of the self that may have been neglected or silenced.

Psychodynamic therapy similarly explores how past experiences and relational patterns continue to influence present emotions, behaviors, beliefs, and relationships. Through the therapeutic relationship itself, clients can begin to develop greater awareness, emotional insight, and new ways of relating to themselves and others.

My approach integrates depth psychology with attachment-based, trauma-informed, and expressive arts modalities, including EMDR, Sandplay Therapy, Therapeutic Art, journaling, mindfulness, and SoulCollage®. These approaches can help access experiences that are not always easily expressed through words alone, allowing insight and healing to emerge in a more holistic and embodied way.

This work is often reflective, relational, and deeply personal. It is not about “fixing” who you are, but about understanding yourself more fully, honoring your inner experience, and creating space for meaningful and lasting transformation.
